Good morning everybody. You are currently listening to a Tall Girls podcast hosted by a tall girl named India. I hope everyone who is tuning in today is doing super fantastic. Before I get into this episode, I do want to say, make sure you're following me on my socials at a Tall Girls Podcast, on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, so that you could stay up today on all of the latest podcast episodes and catch a glimpse of my every day life. Also, feel free to leave my review and let me know how tall you are. I'm genuinely curious. Everything is going to be linked to the description Welcome to Week two of a Tall Girls pod Miss. Now. If you didn't know, pod miss is a series where you basically post holiday themed episodes podcast episodes. Usually it's like every day all the way up till Christmas, every day for the month of December, or it could be like how I did last year twelve Days of pod Miss, where I posted three episodes a week for three weeks. But this year is a little different. I will be posting holiday themed episodes still, one to two episodes per week, and I'm going to have special guests on here, so make sure you stay tuned for the entire month of December. Okay, so this one isn't necessarily super Christmasy or super festive, but I do consider the New Year to be part of the holidays. And I also think that this is very fitting because winter is right around the corner. By the time this episode is up, it will be like literally like a week before winter even starts. Isn't that crazy. I would say that it's practically winter now, but I'm sitting in sixty degree weather, so not very winter like. But this is just one of those days where the weather wants to act a little funny and lead us on into thinking that the weather's going to be nice for the next few weeks, when in reality, it's going it's going to be like below freezing this week, so winter is practically here. I just want to talk about staying positive and boosting confidence in the winter, because I feel like the positivity and the confidence and all that kind of decreases in the colder months because it's colder, the sun is outless, it's darker for longer too. Let me tell you, like, I have class at like two thirty, right that's when I start my school days because I usually like to work before class starts, and I'll leave the house and to go to class, and it will be bright and sunny. If it's sunny that day, it will be bright and sunny. I will literally leave class. Is pitch black dark, pitch black dark at four pm. That is wild, and it will be like that all the way to the next day to like seven am. That's crazy. But that does play a part in your mental health and your energy levels for sure. So it's darker for longer, you're less energetic, and that can cause some type of seasonal sadness. I feel like a lot of us go through some type of seasonal sadness. It could be for the whole entire season and winter. It could be for part of it. It could be for a couple of weeks. It could be on and off, it could be continuous throughout it happens. So it's really important to take care of yourself during the winter months. Practice some type of self care. Whatever that may look like for you. It could be long bats, it could be reading or journaling. It could be singing at the top of your lungs in your car. For me personally, it's going outside and see that's an important one. Go outside. Okay, I get it. It's cold, it's like twenty degrees outside. The sun is not sunning if you will. It may be windy, it may be snowing, but it doesn't have to be for an extended period of time. It could literally just be twenty minutes. And this is very important for the people out there who are like me who work from home. I'm lucky enough to be able to go outside often enough to go to school. Okay, lucky, but also not like because at times it could just be too much. But listen, I'm lucky to be getting an education. I'm grateful for that. But the reason why I go outside so much is simply because I have to commute to school. But I work remotely, so if I was not going to school, I would be home for most of the day and that is not necessarily the best for your mental health, your mental emotional physical health. So yes, even though it was winter, I'm still telling you to go on that hot girl walk. Okay, you may take hot girl walks, but some of us take tall girl walks. Tall girl walks are low key hotgirl dogs. I'm really not walking that fast, but because I take long strides. Some of the girlies out there got a job to keep up. This reminds me of the TikTok that I did long ago, where I am walking as a tall person and I'm walking fast, I guess you could say, and my short friend is hyperventilating and trying to keep up with me. But then I'm making a beat to them, hyperventilating and dancing to it low key. Are there any other tall people who have that one short friend who struggle to keep up with them when they walk? And then it's so funny because you hear this little wait for me following behind? All right, let me stop. I went a little off track. The point here is to make sure that you keep your body moving. Keep moving your body even if you don't want to go outside because it's too cold or there's a blizzard or whatever. You can even stretch, especially for my longland ladies out there. Stretching is very important in taking care of our physical health. The point of this is doing something that makes you feel good physically is also going to help you feel good mentally and even emotionally, and that can contribute to boosting your confidence. Just doing something that has you feeling good The point here is to feel good. Part of confidence is about feeling good, So doing things that make you feel good good is ultimately what's going to help you get closer to the confidence that you want to achieve. Honestly, moving regularly, eating, yes, eat, eat your three to four meals a day. Okay. There are science to back up the fact that eating makes you happy. Okay, eating, maintaining discipline, hydrating. This is your reminder to drink your water. Yes, go drink your water, doing what makes you happy. All of these habits are going to contribute to you feeling good. And I want to say right here that practicing self care and maintaining these good habits are a part of what contributes to you becoming more confident. This isn't the one way, stop or one way to achieve the confidence that you want to achieve, because it's a process. It's a multi layered process. Truthfully, building your confidence is not easy. Whether you're tall or shorter, or whatever it may be. We all have our insecurities and it's okay to have those. Most important is what you do to work through those and that takes a lot of effort, That takes a lot of time on your part, and there are going to be challenges, whether it's your brain speaking badly about you or pointing out those insecurities and making you feel bad, or other people pointing those out. Yes, be careful who you surround yourself with, because there are some toxic people out there that are going to bring up your insecurities just to make you feel bad. Honestly, I should do an episode on that. I should do an episode on toxic people in your life. I haven't done that in a while, but even listening to this podcast can help. Okay, the reason I started this podcast is to not just help tall women feel comfortable in their own skin, but to help everyone who's tuning in to feel comfortable in their own skin. So, whether you're tall or short or average height, you and I were both part of this journey. We're in this together. So yeah yeah, oh wait, and I forgot. Don't forget to you know, look cute sometimes, like, Okay, I know we all have our moments. I definitely have my moments, especially on the weekends, where I'd be looking like a bum. Okay, I got the big T shirts on. My hair is wild, everything is wild and crazy. I'm not put together it's okay. We all have those days, but you know it's nice to just spice it up a little bit. Okay. You could get your hair done. You can do your hair, you can do your nails, like, you could do your makeup. You don't even have to go out and leave the house to do that. You could do that yourself with what you have at home. Put on a cute outfit, and that's that's the other thing. You gotta do what makes you comfortable and what makes you feel good, okay. And part of that, especially for us tall ladies out there, is wearing clothes that actually fit. Okay. So that means wear clothes that reach your risks, wear clothes that reach your ankles, and wear clothes that fits your long Torso this is winter, so this is the time for fash Okay, listen, I'm all for summer stuff like that, But in terms of fashion and like wearing nice clothes and stuff like that, like, it's hard because when it's hot, you just don't want to wear much of anything, so you keep it to a minimum. But because we got more layers on, there's more to work with. You know, I'm gonna make sure to include this next part on social media. Tag a tall brand that you absolutely love. I am including this clip on social media specifically for this tag. A tall brand that sells close that you absolutely love and makes you feel beautiful, It makes you feel like your best self. Okay, we're gonna put each other on. We're gonna put the Talco community on. No tall girls are getting left behind, And I'm going to leave you with this last thing. Confidence. The journey to self confidence, the journey to self acceptance is a very long, rough, tricky journey, very very tricky. I would definitely say you will be tested. There are moments where you definitely be tested. You will feel as though you are not enough, you are not loved, you are ugly, and your insecurities will definitely get the best of you sometimes. But just know that if you keep going strong and keep talking nicely to yourself and have that support system, you will definitely make it. And you will day by day you will get better and you'll get more confident. And I have faith in you and I trust that you will because you are strong, you are smart, you are beautiful, you are amazing, you are talented, you are so many things like can listen, so many characteristics and it's important that you remember that. So I want you to repeat that to yourself every single morning when you say your morning affirmations. Okay, okay, I'm gonna end the episode here. Thank you so so much for tuning in. I really appreciate it, and I appreciate you as always. Feel free to hit me up on my socials. And yeah, let's just talk about anything at a Tall Girls podcast. It is going to be linked in the description and talk about confidence tips. We could talk about what makes you the most confident. We can talk about the new year, your new Year's goals. I actually want to do an episode on that, so I'm definitely going to be doing that. In your future or what's going on in your day in life, Let's have a chit chat. I'm down, I'm down. If you're down, you know, as long as it's appropriate and within reason. All right, I'll catch you in the next one. Good night and good bye.
