What It’s Like Being Tall Now

Now, as you may have read in my previous post (and heard in my last podcast episode), growing up around my significantly shorter peers was DEFINITELY an interesting experience. It’s no different in the present.
However, I can definitely say that times have changed and people are more accepting of different body types. With the All Bodies Matter movement, our plus gals, tall gals, and petite gals are getting some love! It’s more than just the beauty on the outside. Yes, everyone, at least in my eyes, is beautiful on the outside in their own unique ways, but it’s also about the beauty within.

I feel like this idea of All Bodies Matter is really showing in fashion nowadays with extended sizing. You don’t understand how EXCITED I was when I saw the first ever pair of jeans in my life that said “long”! I felt like a brand new person after that; I will never forget that day. It was in JCPenney too, hence why I was always shopping there when I was younger.
Along the way, I have also met people that are on the taller side. Most were a little shorter than me, but still around my height, while a few (and I mean VERY few) were taller than me. I find that surrounding yourself with people who are similar to you (like how the saying goes to surround yourself with people who have the same goals/life vision as you if you want to prosper) you start to feel a little more comfortable in your own skin.
Honestly, I feel like the hardest part right now is the whole dating situation. We won’t get into that lol. Actually, we will. Sometime down the road. And actually, I already did a little bit in my podcast episode. You should check it out.
