Ep. 95: Being So Hard On Yourself Is Causing You To Hate Yourself

Being So Hard On Yourself Is Causing You To Hate Yourself

tall, tall girls, tall girl problems, what it's like being a tall girl, the life of a tall girl

Welcome or welcome back to yet another episode of A Tall Girl’s Podcast! So glad you’re here! Like genuinely. You have no idea lol. IT IS OFFICIAL PEOPLE: MIDTERM SEASON IS OVER. Lol you see what I did there? I HAD to put it in all caps because I genuinely was not having it this time around. If you’re in college now or were in college at some point in time, you understand what I mean. Your life just feels like it’s crashing and burning. You’re spiraling every 3 seconds, you’re breaking down, you’re forgetting things, it’s absolutely horrendous. But nonetheless, we pushed through and I’m happy with the results!

And also, Happy Spring! Whaaaatttt. Can you believe that?? It’s already spring y’all. After this past Monday or Tuesday, in fact. I’m so hyped for the nice weather, the Sun, all of that. But with changing seasons comes changing moods, so if you feel a little insane, it’s all good. Lol why did that sound weird?? What I’m saying is if you feel out of the ordinary or just not like yourself, it’s completely normal. Just give yourself the space that you need to regroup and embrace change.

And with that, I kind of want this episode to be a reminder that it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to feel tired, to feel angry, to feel like crying. Speaking of which, did I tell y’all I used to cry on the 13th floor of my school last semester and at the beginning of this semester? Like UGLY CRY. But I wanted to allow myself to feel things. Yet, I was still putting this unnecessary pressure on myself to have it together and to always be happy and do well in school and all that. And it’s not a good feeling. At all. So, I understand.

Tune in to the full episode below for a much-needed pep talk and some tips on letting go of that unnecessary pressure.
