Tall Girl Tries H&M: Is H&M Tall Girl Approved? (+ a little haul kind of)

try on haul, h&m, tall clothing, tall girl clothing, clothing haul

Hey again! Or maybe hey for the first time. I actually don’t know whether or not you’re a new viewer, but if you are new, I’m glad that you’re reading this. I hope you continue reading.

As you can tell by the title, I am going to be talking about H&M and if tall women can comfortably wear clothes from this store. I’m 5 feet and 10 inches, which kind of puts me on the shorter side of the “tall woman spectrum”, so if you’re taller than me please just keep this in the back of your head.

If you don’t know what H&M is, it’s a Swedish company known for selling men’s, women’s, and kid’s clothing as well as home decor. It predominantly sold, and still sells, fast fashion. That’s bad for the environment and for the treatment of human workers. On the flip side, the brand is starting a sustainable campaign where it will start selling sustainable clothing, and hopefully transition into a fully sustainable brand. I was fortunate enough to try on some of their sustainable pieces and actually, all of the pieces that I bought were sustainable. Super proud of that :)

First, I am going to talk (I find this funny because I’m literally typing this out but just pretend I’m right there talking to you) about the tops. I tried a mix of short sleeve and long sleeve tops. I’m currently typing this in the middle of the summer, but I feel like it’s important to talk about the long sleeved tops because us long limbed beings would LOVE to find some tops that can actually reach our wrists.

I feel like it is important to judge the brand based on theis long sleeve shirts because it’s kind of a precursor for the length of the rest of their pieces. If the sleeves of those tops do not reach your wrists, then what makes you think that the pants reach your ankles? What makes you think the dresses go past your booty? What makes you think that the coats will cover you up? Exactly. Just something to think about.

The shorts sleeves were cropped, and honestly, I was super happy with them because they were at a decent length. They were not so short that it would look super awkward with my height. FOr the long sleeved tops, I was PLEASANTLY surprised. At first glance, the sleeves did not look like they would reach my wrists, but they did! See, this is why it’s important to try things on. I know in some parts of the country, COVID prevented customers from trying on clothes, but now that restrictions are loosening up, I wanted to take advantage of it. Don’t go based on looks!

I tried on the shorts, which I feel like many of you tall girlies would want to know about, so check out my podcast episode for the rest of the review! I found some “interesting” things ;)
