The Pressure to Reinvent Yourself | A Tall Girl’s Podmas Day 10

Hey there! We’re in the last week of Podmas!! Can you believe it?? And yes, I literally am doing Podmas after Christmas; don’t judge. I feel like I kinda slacked at the beginning of the month so I figured I would give y’all some more episodes to end December of 2022! Before I get into this episode, follow me on my socials @atallgirlspodcast on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest to stay up to date on the latest podcast episodes and check out some super relatable, super hilarious tall girl content.
The new year (2023) is almost here! I’m telling you, just yesterday was the beginning of the summer; I was struggling with summer classes and trying to get my life together and now I’m sitting here Post-Christmas wondering what the heck is next. But I think we already know what’s next. The goal setting, planning for the new year, all of that.
That’s why today we are talking about reinvention. I think this is a pretty common thing to think about when a new year is about to start. We reflect on the past year and try to figure out what we can do better and how we can be better in the following year. And I think that really puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on us to change and become a completely different person in such a short amount of time.
This was actually inspired by a YouTuber named Mai Phammy where she spoke about how we’re at the point of the year where we start seeing those inspirational TikToks that are like “reinvent yourself with me” and they make all these vision boards and goal lists and stuff and we feel this need to DO THAT as well simply because social media is pushing that content so much. And then we’re only disappointed in the end when we aren’t who we wanted to become fast enough.
So how can we reframe the way we set goals to improve ourselves and just let go of the unnecessary pressure? Tune in to the full episode below!
Thank you so so much for tuning in to this episode; I really appreciate it and I appreciate you. As always, feel free to hit me up on my socials @atallgirlspodcast on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, and let me know what you think of Podmas and what you think about life in general. Goodnight and goodbyyyyyeee,
India
