Take a peek!

India: “I would love to thank Perkies for partnering with me in this podcast episode, because we have a very special guest with us today: business owner and fellow tall girl, Rosie Mangiarotti. Hi, Rosie! How are you doing today?”

Rosie: “Hello India! I'm good. How are you?”

India: I am doing fantastic! Please, please introduce yourself to the audience.

Rosie: “Yes, hello everyone! My name is Rosie Mangiarotti. I am the founder and CEO of Perkies. Perkies creates innovative undergarments for women to wear.

I'm a 25-year-old female founder, and this idea actually started out of a college course. I took my junior year of college, and essentially, we built the business off of an idea that I had actually back in high school. But it essentially was built off the idea of creating a or stick-on bra. So, for those listening who don't know what a stick-on bra is, it's a backless and strapless bra and it sticks on and it's meant for backless and strapless outfits.

However, a huge problem with current stick-on bras is that you wear them a few times, and they begin to lose adhesion. They get dirty easily. You know, they fall off when you're sweating on the dance floor and they're just an unsustainable and unaffordable option.

So anyway, my idea was to create stick-on bras with replaceable adhesives. So, the bras come with two sets of layered adhesives inside each cup. After you wear them a few times, you could peel back that top layer, wear it again several times, peel back that layer, and then going forward, you could buy the replacement sets.

And we've since launched Perky panties, which are seamless underwear and Perky petals, which are reusable nipple covers that come in three shades of nude and you know, hypoallergenic medical, great adhesive as a bra.”

India: “I absolutely love the sound of that. I think that any girl who uses or had used stick-on bras, like sometime in the past, has had difficulty. I know for a fact that I've had difficulty, especially when you were talking about the sweating part, I…you don't understand how many times I've experienced that. Like, it kind of looks lopsided. You can kind of tell it moves out of place because I'm like jumping around and you know, when you're jumping around, it gets hot and it's outta place and all that. So I definitely like the part that it stays on when it's sweaty. I really, really, really do. Now, I know that you are also a tall girl. How tall are you?”

Rosie: “Yes. I am six feet tall.”
