The Ultimate Online Shopping Guide For Tall Women

Hello and welcome back to A Tall Girl’s Podcast Blog! I’m super glad you’re here, ESPECIALLY for today’s topics. I find this very fitting because we are in the season of giving as it is December. So, almost everyone is going to be doing some type of online shopping. I really won’t be surprised if the Internet breaks down because of the amount of online shopping because I really feel like that activity has increased over time. Especially for me :) 

Anyways, whether you’re shopping for a completely new wardrobe or just finding some holiday pieces, I have done an episode on tips for online shopping as a tall woman. It’s definitely very difficult trying to shop online in general, and then being taller than most of these models on these online sites just makes it even more difficult. I had previously done an episode about the tall women’s section and why shopping there may not always be the most effective, so I definitely recommend you check that out after this one. 

My first tip for online shopping as a tall woman, or just as a woman in general, is knowing exactly what you want. Just going in without having a clear direction all the time can definitely make the shopping process hard because you can be like “oh this is cute” and then a second later “I actually really want this” and the decision-making process can be really hard. And often this can lead to very mismatched outfits and even more shopping for clothes and accessories that match with the ones you already bought and ultimately you just end up spending way more money. 

You can combat this by creating a list of the top 5 things you absolutely ABSOLUTELY need in your wardrobe and make sure you find those first. Then knowing different pieces that could work with those items can be your second tier. Like you don’t ABSOLUTELY need it, but it’s there if you have a little extra money left over that you can spend. So, for example, let’s say you really need to get a pair of black boots. You get that pair of black boots and you have an extra $60 to spend. That’s when you can get maybe an outfit that revolves around the boots. So you can have an all black moment like black jeans, black top, black coat. Something like that.
