Ep. 26: A Tall Girl's Thanksgiving: A Thanksgiving Message For The Tall Ladies

A Thanksgiving Message For The Tall Ladies

thanksgiving, thanksgiving post, what to be grateful for, tall women, self acceptance podcast

Gobble gobble everyone! I just find it to be such a coincidence that I would be posting on Thanksgiving Day. Like when I first started this over the summer and just decided that I would be posting on Thursdays, I genuinely did not think of Thanksgiving. And it’s not like Christmas or any other holiday that will just happen to fall on a Thursday one year and never fall on a Thursday again until 30 years later. This is going to be an every year thing; that’s awesome!

Anyways, I’m rambling and I don’t want to do that just in case you’re preparing for the festivities right now. I just wanted to give some thanks and spread a little tall girl positivity here. Now, as you may know if you’re a tall girl yourself, it can be hard to get through the “daily motions” of life. People are constantly trying to masculinize us, make fun of us, and even ignore us (even though they literally can’t because we tower over them).

The point here is, they don’t make the journey to loving our bodies easy. It only gets harder the older we get. So, I just wanted to give thanks to my tallness and hopefully inspire you to do the same. I’m grateful for my long legs that I constantly trip over, but still gets me from Point A to Point B. I’m grateful for my long arms that tend to swat my friends in the face, but can reach to high shelves. I’m grateful for my long torso that holds my back up. IT’S TIME TO BE GRATEFUL and STOP putting ourselves down because of what society tries to make us think about ourselves.

But, most importantly, I’m grateful for you. For taking the time to read through my content, listening to my podcast, and ultimately just supporting me through this journey. I really really appreciate it. If you’d rather listen to audio or have a few extra minutes check out the full podcast episode:

Let’s stay connected through my socials @atallgirlspodcast on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest and just let me know what you’re doing for Thanksgiving. If you enjoyed this episode, feel free to leave a review! I’ll see you in the next one!

Goodnight and goodbyyyyyeee,
