We’re gonna get right into this episode because we have A LOT to unpack. As you may or may not know, I went to the Tall Size pop-up shop event this past weekend. And if you don’t know Tall Size, what’s wrong with you? Lol jk. Tall Size is an online marketplace that’s home to several tall brands like Korai, Above The Crowd, Whitney Allysyn, Alloy Apparel, just to name a few.
They’re essentially on tour; they were touring Canada and now they’re in the U.S. They were in NYC this weekend and you know I had to be there lol.
It all started when I saw a story post from Tall Size saying they needed volunteers. Of course I swiped up like ‘heyyyyyy sign me up!’ or something like that. I helped out last Thursday in the evening where I met the famous Kayla Alexander for the first time ever. We had done a podcast episode together when I recorded with Tall Size. Even though I had spoken to her, I was still a little nervous. But I remember Corinna (a previous guest) saying Kayla was nice, and she was nice!
We met at the Franklin Showroom, which is very very downtown. But it was very very cute. There was an office space area in the back corner and most of the place was open and flat, making it perfect for the event.
When I tell you I had the workout of my life, I’m not even kidding. I’m still sore to this day. But it was nice to get to know Kayla and her aspirations and passions after she retires from basketball, her journey to becoming a pro basketball player, all of her travels, and so forth. I honestly just had a great time.
