How are we doing, everyone? Are we doing well? I’ve had an extremely long week, extremely long week and a half by the time this episode is up and I feel like I’ve been neglecting you guys on social media a little bit.
If you didn’t know, I'm a freelancer and I’m trying to do more with that while also looking for a part time job. So, quite a few things have been in the works for a bit and I will say that I got some good news so far! I actually got a little promotion for one of my freelance jobs and as for a new job, I DID get an opportunity, but that’s not set in stone, so I don’t wanna jinx it right away.
But very very VERY good things have been happening and I’m very grateful!
ALRIGHT, now, let’s talk about the Internet and tall women. Lol why is that a weird way to start this???? Ok, hear me out. Let’s talk about how this idea came about.
While I was researching topics to discuss this week (yes, I research topics lolz), I stumbled upon something VERY interesting :///////// Apparently there’s a dating site for people who wanna date tall women??? Like it’s literally called ‘Date Tall Girls’. I'll put it up on the screen if you’re watching the video version of this. So what’s the vibe?? Are we joining this site, SINGLE tall ladies?? Lol
Anyways, in this episode, I dive deeper into how the Internet is a scary place for tall women. From these dating sites to tall girl fan pages to social media, there are a variety of things online that influence people’s thoughts and assumptions of tall women, leading them to project their assumptions and fantasies (:////) onto us in a very unwarranted way.
And then, us tall girlies feel very uncomfortable and judged because of our height. The point is to bring awareness to the uncomfy sides of the Internet for tall women and discuss how that can influence people’s thoughts and actions towards us.
