I Spent 48 Hours in Switzerland and Here's How It Went...
Gewd morning everybody! We’re back with another episode of A Tall Girl’s Podcast! So, if you’re a little confused as to why I was in Switzerland, for context, I am currently studying abroad in Italy for the month of June (which is literally coming to an end omg). I have classes four days a week (Monday through Thursday) and then on the weekends, I try to do something or see something fun.
And this weekend, I chose Switzerland! You may be thinking, of all places, Switzerland????? Yes, hear me out lol. I actually have a cousin who lives in Switzerland and before I even went on this trip, my father kept telling me that I HAD to visit her. I mean, think about it, when am I ever going to be this close to her again? So, I took the opportunity.
I told my dad to give me her phone number, which he did, and I called her up. I asked her if I could visit and she said that she and her husband would love to have me. Don’t get me wrong I was super excited to visit her, but I immediately thought to myself ‘free housing!!’ Idk maybe it’s just the broke college student in me talking…
But this past Thursday, I left for Switzerland right after class. My class usually ends at 11:30 and my flight was at 2:55, so I literally sprinted back to my hotel room to shove a bunch of stuff in my bookbag and made my way to the airport. I planned to do exactly how I did with Paris. I was going to take the tram to the airport. Only a 20-minute ride. Sounds simple, right? WRONG!
