A Weekend Abroad | Paris, Venice, Murano, McDonald’s

Welcome or welcome back to A Tall Girl’s Podcast! I’m so glad you’re here right now. I hope you’re having a good day, week, month, year, whatever it may be. As you can tell by the title, I’ve had quite the weekend. But just for context, I am in Italy for a few weeks for my study abroad program. I attend class 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday, and then 3 days I try to do something with myself besides school and work lol. Before I get into this past weekend, I just wanna share that I finished my midterms not too long ago?? I’m halfway through this program?? 

I’m sad but not too sad, if that makes sense. I like being able to travel to different places, take this class, and meet new people, but I also like having my own kitchen, not waking up early to go to class, and seeing my friends back home. I just don’t know how to feel about that. On the other hand, I got a 98 on my first paper! So I’m so glad about that. I’m hoping that I can get the same grade on my midterm exam. 

But this past weekend, I went to Paris????? Just had to celebrate that 98, ya feel me? Lol. Let me stop because I was planning to go to France before I even started this class. But me and another person that I met in the program went together. Bought the tickets 3 days before the flight; the price wasn’t that bad considering the time we bought them. It was under $200; we love a good deal. 

Then we were off to France! It felt like we were backpacking across Europe in a way because we literally just shoved our lives into a backpack to catch this flight, which was unnecessary because we were only staying for one night, but whatever. That’s beside the point. It was for our plot. Anyways, we took a tram to the airport, did the usual, checked in, went through TSA, yada ya.
