Y’all we are in peak stress mode. I repeat we are in peak STRESS MODE. Lol this is the point of midterm season where everything starts to go downhill. Like I actually believe that it can’t get worse than this. Ok lemme stop because I said this once before and it quite literally did so….. ANYWAYS
If you follow me on Instagram, you’d know I was 9 chapters behind in marketing….NINE CHAPTERS. Yes, you read that correctly aha. I was literally on the phone with a friend when I found this out. Well…at the time I found out that I was 5 chapters behind, then 20 minutes later, I found out that I was actually 9 chapters behind. Ummmm...send help??
So yeah, I only skipped two classes to catch up on those 9 chapters. Maybe you can call me an academic weapon???? I know I’ve said before that y’all shouldn’t be skipping classes and stuff, but like ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get that grade, am I right?
Alright, enough about midterms, let’s talk about other people’s opinions. Great subject, huh? In the last episode, I talked about how to respond to negative comments about your height and I posted a couple Reels/Shorts of some of the podcast clips. So, in one of the videos, I discussed how people think that talking about your experiences as a tall woman is not serious or not that deep and the comments….girl. Them comments were cray.
There were people here saying “someone needs to grow a thicker skin” or “just ignore them” or “it’s not that serious” and basically things that would kind of invalidate your feelings or experiences. And today, I’m here to tell you that if you feel this way, your feelings are VALID. It’s okay to feel hurt or disrespected or sad about the negative things that people have said about you.
But what are some tips on how to not feel this way and not let other people’s words and opinions affect you? Tune in to the full episode below to learn more!
Thank you so so much for tuning in to this episode; I really appreciate it and I appreciate you. As always feel free to hit me up on my socials @atallgirlspodcast and let me know if you’ve experienced any of this before or if you just wanna talk about life in general. Also, don’t forget to leave me a review below! I’ll catch you in the next one!
Goodnight and goodbyyyyyeee,
India
